Dahle Flesjå dominates from start to finish in Titisee-Neustadt

At the finals of the German MTB-Bundesliga series in Titisee Neustadt, Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå from the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM was unfazed by the adverse weather conditions. The Norwegian rode to an undisputed victory to cap off her season - yet another win. At the Swiss Epic stage race José Hermida and Thomas Litscher defended their 5th place in the overall standings throughout the last two days.

At the Swiss Epic stage race the trails are just as high-class as the list of starters. As for the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM José Hermida and Thomas Litscher lined up to compete. After the prologue and three hard stages, the duo is placed in 5th in the overall standings.

Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå wins HC race in Poland

The World championships, the Olympic games and the Worldcup may all be done and dusted, but the mountain bike racing season is not over yet. At the HC race Jelenia Gora Trophy in Poland, Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå rode to a convincing victory. Meanwhile her MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM mates José Hermida and Thomas Litscher will be competing at the Swiss Epic stage race.

Three 2nd places at the Worldcup finals

At the finals of the cross country Worldcup held in Vallnord, Andorra two athletes of the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM rode into the spotlight. Both Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå and Ondrej Cink were leading their respective races at times and crossed the finish line in 2nd. Thomas Litscher also finished in the top10 in 9th, and José Hermida capped off his long Worldcup career with a 12th place. In the team standings the men finished in 2nd as well.

Strong performances in Canada

With only two weeks to go for the Olympic cross country race, the athletes from the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM showed some strong performances at the fifth race of the cross country worldcup in Mont Sainte-Anne, Canada. Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå was back to her old strength and finished the race in 2nd. In the men’s race José Hermida scored his best result of the season with a 6th place while Ondrej Cink crossed the finish line right behind him in 7th.

Thomas Litscher shows strong race in Hadleigh Park

Three weeks before Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic games, mountain biking’s elite riders gathered at Hadleigh Park where the Olympic cross country race of London 2012 had been held four years earlier. Thomas Litscher from the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM showed a strong race and got to celebrate a 5th place against very strong competition.

Three team riders competing at Rio Olympics

On the closing weekend of Rio de Janeiro’s Olympic games the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM will be represented by no less than three of its athletes in the cross country races. While José Hermida and Gunn-Rita Dahle Flesjå are looking forward to their fifth Olympic games, it will be the second Olympic participation for their team mate Ondrej Cink. All three athletes will be competing at the Olympic Mountain Bike Centre with quite some ambitions.

10th place for Ondrej Cink in Lenzerheide

Just one week after the World championships the next race of the cross country Worldcup was being held in Lenzerheide, Switzerland. While the two experienced riders of the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM could not shine, both Ondrej Cink and Thomas Litscher rebounded from problems in the early stages of their race to finish in 10th and 15th, respectively.

Ondrej Cink 4th at home Worlds

At the cross country World championships the riders of the MULTIVAN MERIDA BIKING TEAM missed out on the medal spots. Ondrej Cink however showed a strong race in front of an enthusiast home crowd and got to celebrate a strong 4th place. Meanwhile José Hermida missed out on a top10 result by a mere 2 seconds.
